It’s one if those quirky Japan things: every day at 5 pm, our neighborhood loudspeakers play a tune. We call it, unoriginally, the “five o’clock song.” Vivian seems to hate this song.
Ok, most likely it has nothing to do with the song and more to do with the tendency of babies everywhere to be fussier in the evenings – but she is definitely her fussiest between let’s say 5 to 8 pm. During these hours, we have a nightly marathon of feeding and meltdowns.
Every so often, though, she’ll take a pause from the meltdown to be adorable.
